Lubiana

So a little story from a storyteller.

Yesterday i went to a concert of Lubiana in Brussels.

I had some beautifull tickets on the 3th row.

There was this woman (Maya Nashoba) in the beginning of the show.

Everything was in french so i understood nothing of wwhat she said. She was telling a story about something she had overcome. All i could hear were a few words. Bi, heart, head. You could tell it was very difficult for her to tell.Even while i couldnt understand a word she was saying i could feel it. The whole auditorium stood up and applauded her.It was so beautifull to stand among those people and experience the warmth from the audience but even more the bravery from Maya on stage. She sang a beuatifull song about it and although i didn’t understand again what she was singing about, i could feel every single word. The music language is universal for sure, Just like the love language.

After that Lubiana came on stage. Again i couldn understand half of it. She was singing about love, her ancestors, her harp (Kora). She had some very nice video’s showing during her performance about these themes.I sat there listening with my eyes closed. I shed a few tears and felt all the words and singing. The crowd sang along with her and this also felt so amazing.

It was so inspiring for me to see that the universal language of music can unite and connect people. Even when you can’t understand any word they’re saying, you know from the heart what they are saying. If you ever have a chance of going to one of these 2 beautifull, inspiring, strong women than try going.
